Your questions about mirror hours, answered
Mirror hours and 11:11
What are mirror hours?
Mirror hours are the moments when the hour and the minutes show the same digits: 11:11, 12:12, 22:22. There are 24 in a day, from 00:00 to 23:23, and four are master hours: 00:00, 11:11, 22:22 and 23:23. Many read them the way they read angel numbers: as a small sign to pause, notice what they were thinking, and set an intention.
What does it mean when you keep seeing 11:11?
In manifestation and angel-number traditions, 11:11 is read as a sign of alignment: your thoughts and your path point the same way, so notice what was on your mind when you looked up. In numerology eleven is a master number, the number of intuition, so the hour carries extra weight. A plainer reading is that once you notice 11:11, your attention keeps finding it. Either way, the minute is worth a pause.
What should I do when I see 11:11?
Pause. Take one breath and notice what you were thinking about, because that is what the moment is said to point at. Then make a wish or set an intention in the present tense, and look away before the minute turns. In MirrorHours the same minute opens as a countdown, with the chakra of the hour and its affirmation.
Why do I keep seeing the same mirror hour?
Usually two things at once. Once an hour has caught your eye, your attention keeps finding it. And each hour has its own meaning, so the one you keep meeting can be read as the theme of this stretch of your life. Open the Library at the top of the page to read its meaning and affirmations.
Is seeing 11:11 a sign or just a coincidence?
Both can be true. 11:11 comes round every day, and attention is a habit. In the manifestation tradition that is the point: the moment catches your attention, and what you do with it matters. A pause and a clear intention cost nothing, and the minute is there either way.
Does wishing at 11:11 actually work?
Nobody can promise an outcome, and MirrorHours does not. What the practice reliably does is make you stop, name what you want in plain words, and let it go. Done every day, that changes what you notice and what you choose. Treat the wish as a moment of clarity, not a transaction.
What is the difference between mirror hours and angel numbers?
Angel numbers are repeating digits seen anywhere: 1111 on a receipt, 444 on a number plate. Mirror hours are the 24 clock times where the hour and the minutes match, from 00:00 to 23:23. 11:11 is where the two overlap, which is why it is the best known of both. MirrorHours follows the clock.
What does 22:22 mean?
22:22 is the master builder. Two is the number of patience and balance, and 22 doubles it: a dream given form, one steady step at a time. People read it as a sign to keep going with what they are building. It is one of the four master hours and belongs to the Crown chakra. The Guide has the longer reading.
What does 00:00 mean on the clock?
00:00 is the day turning over: a blank page, and everything still possible. It is the first mirror hour of the day, one of the four master hours, and it belongs to the Root chakra. In MirrorHours the day closes at 00:10, not at midnight, so a wish at 00:00 still counts for the day that is ending.
What are reversed mirror hours like 21:12 and triple hours like 3:33?
Reversed mirror hours read the same backwards: 21:12, 03:30, 15:51. Triple hours repeat one digit: 3:33, 4:44. Both come from the same habit of reading the clock for signs. MirrorHours follows the 24 true mirror hours, where the hour and the minutes are identical.
What is the 11/11 portal, and how is it different from 11:11 on the clock?
The 11/11 portal is 11 November, a date that numerology circles treat as a strong day for setting intentions. The clock shows 11:11 every day, all year. The practice is the same minute either way: pause, set the intention, let it go.
Making a wish
How do I make a wish at 11:11?
Make the wish inside the minute, before the clock turns to 11:12. Keep it to yourself, say it in the present tense as if it is already yours, and take one breath with it. The old rules add that the moment should find you, not the other way round. With notifications allowed, MirrorHours chimes when 11:11 begins and counts the minute down.
What is the best time to make a wish?
Any of the 24, morning or night. 11:11 is the one most people know, and 00:00, 22:22 and 23:23 share its weight as master hours. Beyond that, the best hour is the one you actually catch: the moon phase gives the wish a season, the hour gives it a moment.
Does it still count if the chime reminded me?
The old rule prefers the moment that finds you by chance. The chime exists so the minute is not lost while you are busy. If the rule matters to you, keep alerts off and let the clock surprise you. MirrorHours works either way.
Can I tell someone my wish?
Tradition says no: a wish stays between you and the universe. That is also why MirrorHours never stores the words. If you want a record, the exported report gives you the hours you caught and the time of each wish, without the wishes themselves.
Does MirrorHours save my wishes?
No. MirrorHours records only that a wish was made and at which mirror hour, so your day can be counted. The words are never stored and never sent anywhere.
What does "I’m holding my wish in thought" mean?
When the wish minute opens, you can type the wish or tick the box and keep it in your mind. Some prefer that for private intentions. It counts the same.
Why does the countdown sometimes start from less than 60 seconds?
The countdown shows what is left of the current minute. If 11:11 began 23 seconds before the overlay opened, you have 37 seconds. The wish belongs inside the minute the mirror hour lasts, however much of it is left.
How many mirror hours are there per day?
Twenty-four, one an hour: 00:00, 01:01, 02:02 and so on to 23:23. Each lasts one minute. With notifications allowed, MirrorHours chimes when each one begins.
Why does MirrorHours use the 24-hour clock?
Because that is where all 24 mirror hours exist, from 00:00 to 23:23. If 24-hour time is new to you: 13:00 is 1 PM, 14:00 is 2 PM, and so on. Most phones can show it, in the clock settings.
Do mirror hours work on 12-hour clocks?
Some do. 10:10, 11:11 and 12:12 look the same on both clocks. 13:13 to 23:23 exist only in 24-hour time; 22:22 becomes 10:22 PM. Set your phone to 24-hour time, or let MirrorHours watch the clock for you.
Using MirrorHours
How do browser notifications work?
Allow notifications once, and MirrorHours sends one when a mirror hour begins, with a soft chime, even if the tab is in the background. Tap it to come back to the tab, where the wish minute is already open. You can turn alerts off again on the home page at any time.
When does my day reset?
At 00:10, ten minutes past midnight. A wish made at 00:00 still belongs to the day that is ending, and the count starts again after it.
Is MirrorHours free?
Yes. MirrorHours is free and needs no account. Ads keep it free.
Can I export my day?
Yes. Export, on the home page and in the day's details, saves a report of the day as an image (PNG) or a PDF: the date, the moon that night, the wish count, the hours you caught with their chakra, and the time of each wish. The words of your wishes are never in it.
What is the moon shown on the page?
The moon tonight, one of eight phases from new moon to waning crescent, with a line on what each phase is used for: intentions at the new moon, release at the full moon. Open the moon card for the illumination, the days to the next full and new moon, and a short practice for the phase.
What are the chakras shown next to the hours?
Each mirror hour is linked to one of the seven chakras: 11:11 to the Third Eye (intuition), 09:09 to the Heart (love). The chakra's color, symbol and affirmation appear in the wish minute and on the next-hour card, so the wish has a focus. The day's details show which chakras your hours belonged to.
What do the chakra colors mean?
Root, red: grounding. Sacral, orange: creativity. Solar Plexus, yellow: confidence and will. Heart, green: love. Throat, blue: communication. Third Eye, indigo: intuition. Crown, violet: spiritual connection. These are the traditional colors; you meet the app's tints of them in the wish minute, on the next-hour card and in the day's details.
How do I see which chakras my hours belonged to?
Open Details on the day's card. The day view lists every wish with its hour, chakra and affirmation, and counts the chakras across the day. If most of your hours fall in one chakra, that is worth noticing.
Can I look back at the moon of a past day?
MirrorHours keeps only the current day. The day's details show the moon of that night, and the report you export keeps it with the guidance for the phase, so export before 00:10 if you want to look back.
What is the music in MirrorHours?
A library of healing-frequency tracks on Solfeggio frequencies from 396 to 963 Hz, grouped by chakra, mirror hour, moon phase, time of day, manifestation, nature and spa, elements, planets, seasons, floating and rest. Open the player from the dock at the bottom right of the page. Nothing plays until you press play; if you left music on last time, it carries on with your first tap of the page.
What are Solfeggio frequencies?
A set of tones that sound-healing traditions link to different states: 396 Hz to letting go of fear, 528 Hz to love and repair, 963 Hz to spiritual connection. MirrorHours uses the ones from 396 to 963 Hz as music for the practice and makes no medical claim for them.
How does smart-streaming work?
With smart-streaming on, the player picks the next track for the moment: the track of the mirror hour when one is on, then your chakra preference, the time of day and the moon phase, and it skips the last few tracks it played so the stream rotates. It never interrupts a track that is playing; it only chooses what comes next.
Can I create playlists and save favorite tracks?
Yes. Tap the heart on a track to keep it in your favorites, queue tracks in order for a longer session, or build a playlist. Favorites, playlists and settings are saved in your browser.
Does the music keep playing during the wish minute?
Yes. When the chime comes, the track carries on under the overlay, and nothing interrupts it while you write your wish.
How accurate is the moon phase?
It is computed from the moon's position for the day, and the illumination, the phase name and the days to the next full and new moon update live, in whole days. Accurate enough for the practice; for an eclipse, use an almanac.
